Gloves

Why do we go to the trouble of creating a separate Glove Department?

“Hands-on.” It’s more than just a phrase — it’s a lifestyle in a hardware store. Whether you’re fixing a leaky pipe, digging in the garden, or elbow-deep in an engine, you know that real work means getting your hands dirty.

And sometimes really dirty. From grease and grime to sticky messes, sharp edges, or harsh chemicals — your hands take the hit. Staying relatively clean, injury-free, and fully fingered? That’s a priority.

At Woodstock Hardware, we get it. That’s why we believe almost every project deserves the right hand protection. Whether it’s a simple pair of disposable nitrile gloves, something a bit tougher for the yard, elbow-length rubber gloves for heavy-duty cleaning, or insulated waterproof gloves for the cold and wet—there’s a glove for every task.

Glove department.

Gloves and batteries.

And let’s be honest: gloves make you brave. Would you really pick up a dead mouse bare-handed? Or clear out cobwebs with your fingers? Probably not. But with the right gloves on? Suddenly, you are a hero.

That’s where we come in.  The Right Fit for Everyone

Woodstock Hardware carries a full selection of work gloves for men, women, and kids — from small to XX-large. We stock a wide variety of materials, styles, and coatings, so you can find the glove that fits not only your hand, but also your project.

So whether you are working in the yard, tackling a DIY remodel, or facing down a job that is extra grimy, we’ve got the gloves that will make you feel a little tougher, and a whole lot more protected.

Get Hands-On with Confidence.  Come into Woodstock Hardware and gear up. Your hands will thank you.

We’ve worn them, tested them, and trust them—because we know the right gloves make all the difference. Whether you’re on the jobsite, in the workshop, or tackling your next DIY project, our Glove Department has the protection and performance you can count on

In addition to offering the work gloves you need; Woodstock Hardware brings over 30 years of hands-on experience to the table. That means we do not just sell gloves—we understand the work behind them. Our team is here to provide the technical expertise to help you choose the right glove and successfully tackle your next project.

Here are a few tips to help you pick the perfect work glove:

  • Assess what you will be doing. Are you going to be hauling buckets of water, digging in the dirt, stacking firewood into a pile, handling broken glass, painting something, tweaking an engine, working with chemicals, repairing fences…the list goes on.
  • Decide which materials would match the task. Once you know what you will be doing during your task, it is time to determine what material the work gloves should be made of. Some features to contemplate when deciding a material include durability, waterproofness, and comfort.
  • Consider the season. Will you be working in the brutal heat of the summer, the bitter cold of the winter, or somewhere in between? This will help you determine the weight of the work gloves.
  • Choose the right  A glove should neither be too tight nor too loose. Too tight and you risk making them incredibly uncomfortable and possibly causing damage. Too loose and you’ll not be able to work as efficiently because some effort is going into keeping the gloves on.
  • Inspect for quality. Be sure the work gloves you select are high-quality so they will last beyond just one instance of the job. Make sure the seams are securely sewn and the material is durable and well-made.

So stop in, try a few on, and get the fit and function you need.
Because at Woodstock Hardware, we do not just stock gloves—we help you get the job done right, from the first grip to the final cleanup.
